Meadows And Flowers Go Together. And Meadow Flowers Encourage Bees, Bugs, Beetles, Birds And Much More.

In this video ecologist John Walters looks at the flowers found in meadows and the one plant that contributes more to meadows than any other, the Meadow Maker, Yellow Rattle, Rhinanthus minor. The meadow maker is a hemiparasitic plant that parasitises grass and, over time, reduces the vigour of the grass. This allows wild flowers to compete with the grasses and thrive.
More flowers, more insects and more biodiverse.
The principles and species shown in this video are all relevant to the Sid Valley.
