River Sid Catchment Plan, Public Consultation Evening Discussion

Friday 7 June 2024

Time 19:00 to 21:00

Location: Cellar Bar, Kennaway House, Sidmouth

The River Sid Catchment Group was set up in 2023 to organise and progress improvements on the river Sid and its catchment. The group is part of the Sid Valley Biodiversity Group. To date there has been some significant investment into the river Sid catchment and there are plans for more in the future. The group is undergoing a public consultation to present their proposals to the public and seek views on how people would like to see improvements made to the river system in the Sid Valley. These might cover the ecology, water run-off, flooding, land management etc.

There will be a presentation of the proposals followed by an open discussion. Suggestions and feedback will be recorded and considered for inclusion in the final plan.

The event is aimed at anyone who has an interest in the river, its ecology or flooding issues. There will be displays and information on the proposals and opportunities to volunteer to help with improvement work on the river.
