Photographing wildlife on your doorstep |
Friday 9 June |
10:00–11:00 |
Speaker Barry Curwen Barry grew up on a farm in Devon but most of his career in finance was spent working in cities including Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds and mostly London. Observing wildlife has always been a passion for Barry but it’s only since retirement that he has developed an interest in photography. He now enjoys trying to capture some of his wildlife experiences and takes pleasure in sharing the images with others. |
Details Wildlife photography can appear to be daunting; the objective of this talk is to demonstrate that it is very accessible and that there are wonderful subjects to capture on your doorstep. Barry will use his own photographic journey over the last four years as an example. He will provide some tips on equipment, settings and approach but the main emphasis will be to demonstrate that public spaces in the Sid Valley provide an excellent opportunity to see and photograph stunning wildlife. |
