Title Operation Earth- family show and biodiversity activities Date Saturday 10 June Time There will be a rolling programme of the show followed by hands-on activities which takes just over an hour. The sessions will start at the following times: 10:00 11:30 13:30 15:00 Location Cellar Bar, Kennaway House Details Join Exeter Science Centre and take part in Operation Earth, a fun family show exploring the amazing stories and science of the environment. Earthy is feeling a little under the weather and is going to the doctors for a check-up. Join Exeter Science Centre, along with expert scientists, as we investigate what is bothering Earthy. Become a trainee environmental scientist and help us investigate Earthy’s land, air and oceans, and see if together we can find solutions. The show is a 2-person live interactive show aimed at 6-11 year olds which lasts approximately forty minutes. Afterwards, hands-on activities for around thirty minutes are linked to the show and focus on biodiversity-linked activities including; a biodiversity mat for teaching how to use quadrats and counting insects/plants; a make your own biodegradable pot and plant a wild flower activity; and a microscopy moss safari. Who should attend The show and activities are aimed at 6-11 year olds but are also suitable for older children! |
