Alex Boon is a lifelong artist, writer, and nature lover with a background in environmental science. After moving to Devon in 2016, he began his first nature journal and has been keeping them ever since. He teaches workshops and courses in nature journaling, promoting it as a nurturing creative activity to help people notice and find joy in nature close to home. He teaches nature journaling in person in the local area and also online to participants from all over the world. 

Topic of the talk

Nature journaling is a calm, restorative creative practice rooted in deeply observing nature in your local area. In this talk, Alex will discuss what nature journaling is, why it is needed in our climate and biodiversity crisis, and what it can do for those practicing it. He will then show examples of his work and inform the audience on where they can find his teaching online and in person.
