The Building Resilience in Communities (BRIC) Team in Plymouth have put together a “Slow the Flow” booklet to help people cope with the wetter weather we’re frequently getting.
Here in th eSid Valley we know that flooding is a growing concern, especially here where surface water flooding is a real issue. Only today we have flooding on the Sidford to Sidbury Road!
This booklet is packed with practical ideas to help us all make a difference, from simple things like installing a water butt to more ambitious projects like creating a rain garden.
Whether you live in a tiny flat or have a huge garden, we hope there’s something here to inspire you. The authors have kept things brief and have focused on the essentials/ They have also included QR codes to link you to more detailed information from experts like the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust.
