Bugs In The River

Location: The Byes, downstream of Annie’s Bridge. SY12838 88159

Come along for a look at the wealth of bug life in the river. Test your ability to identify each species. These minibeasts form an important part of the food chain in the river system, loved by trout, dippers and bats. The event is aimed at anyone who has an interest in the river and its ecology. The creatures will already have been collected from the river and displayed in trays for you to observe. Note, the event does not involve entering the water.
